The RMFW Young Adult “Birds of a Feather” group is an informal, monthly gathering of writers of YA stories to connect and have conversations about writing for young adults, the industry, books, or related topics. Revising your work (or critiquing others') can e overwhelming. Without specific elements to look for, it's easy to rely on "gut feel," which is hard to articulate and harder to trust. Join author/editor Kelley J. P. Lindberg to learn how to evaluate 17 aspects of stroytelling to strengthen any manuscript, including your own. Then, using Kelley's "Editing Beyond Gut Feel" checklist, we'll break into small groups to edit each other's sample pages.

Please bring 5 copies of two pages of your work-in-progress to exchange with other participants, and see how this editing technique works in action.

RSVPs are welcome, but not necessary.
